I was a guest earlier this week on the Ezra Klein show, discussing the current AI moment. As ever, I was focused on the underlying financial and funding architecture, the implicit assumptions, and the stressors, some of which exploded into broader awareness this week as credit cracks yawned wide.
Getting mired in whether AI works or is useful is, of course, a mug's gam (it does, and it can be very), and a sideshow when being thoughtful about a historically epic economic capex cycle and its far-reaching consequences.
